Right now I'm running a little over 1000pts.
No matter the opponent, I find myself being in a reactive mode because of the dwarves short legs and inability to manuver well. I've tried a bunch of different set up types (ie. refused flank, etc.) and the enemy always seems to run circles around me and I'm forced to react than act.

The thane weighs in at 74pts with great weapon, gromril armor, shield and a rune of stone.

The other day i happened to forget my gyrocopter for a match but one of the usuals brought his dwarfs out of retirement for the day, lucky me, and he didn't have a gyro but he did have an organ gun which is near enough points wise so i tried it out.

I loved the little bugger and immediatly bought one of my own. i have used it in four games since and have discovered i should have picked it up a while ago. Keep in mind that this list is going WITH Chaos against Lizardmen and Skaven. So I have built my army to shoot and be hard to kill if I do get into hth. There will be a huge screen of Horrors infront of me, and we will probably be playing on a ping pong table, where you can spread out your units on each half, with a minimum of 24" between us.

I was thinking of playing a basic 500pt game, just to learn the basics. Like Charging, Marching, standing and shooting, etc. This way we can learn how to use the basics, without playing a really long game to learn what does what.

I have started a Dwarf Army because I like different things about them, the small models, the Cannons, and their history.

I have a friend that it is no fun playing against, because he knows all the rules (which seem to change every game) I have a Dwraf army consisting of:

2 Heros
40 Warriors
8 Thunderers
around 12 Miners
around 18 Ironbreakers
and a Flame Cannon
