Has anyone read the new rulebook yet? What do they think.

I like the changes to the magic rules. Many of them (shadow especially) now seem a lot more characterful. All in all the non-used ones seem to have been made more alluring as well.

All in all it seems like a spit shine than anything else. Some time ago, there was an article on 40k in 40 minutes, the rules for which can be found at patrolclash.co.uk, I believe. In any event, it was a small, fast game with good balancing rules to represent the sorts of forces you might actually find on patrol (rarely will you send a Wraithlord or a Terminator squad or a Battle Tank to do a routine patrol)
